Remembering Diogo Jota and André Silva
Diogo Jota, aged 28, was a key figure in Liverpool’s Premier League success earlier this year and had just celebrated victory in the UEFA Nations League with Portugal last month.
Since joining Liverpool from Wolves in 2020, Jota scored 65 goals in 182 matches, collecting several major titles during his five years at Anfield. Just 11 days ago, he married his long-time partner Rute Cardoso, and together they have three young children.
His brother, 25-year-old André Silva, came through the youth ranks at FC Porto and went on to play professionally for Gondomar and Penafiel.
