BREAKING NEWS: Fabrizio Romano have revealed that Manchester United have completed the signing of two Chelsea star as they allow Alejandro Garnacho to leave on an £65m deal and will see Manchester United take two Chelsea stars.
Manchester United fan and YouTuber Mark Goldbridge has shared his thoughts on who the club should target if Alejandro Garnacho departs.
The 20-year-old winger has recently been linked with moves to Napoli and Chelsea, a surprising development given his previous status as “untouchable” under Erik ten Hag. Garnacho was once seen as a key player in Ten Hag’s plans, but his role has shifted since Rúben Amorim took over as United manager in November 2024.
On December 15, Amorim notably left Garnacho out of the squad for United’s 2-1 victory against Manchester City at the Etihad. While the manager later praised Garnacho’s response, the winger has spent much of the last three months as a substitute, fueling speculation about his future.
Adding to the rumors, reports emerged on Monday that Garnacho’s agent was spotted at Stamford Bridge during Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Wolves. Meanwhile, Italian outlet Il Mattino claimed the player has already reached an agreement to join Napoli.
In light of the uncertainty, United Stand host and Red Devils supporter Mark Goldbridge (real name Brent Di Cesare) has suggested a potential replacement. On Tuesday, the 45-year-old took to X (formerly Twitter) to endorse Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, stating, “Man Utd need to be all over this Cunha deal.”
Cunha, 25, has been a standout performer in a struggling Wolves team, with 10 goals and four assists in 22 appearances this season. After Wolves’ recent 3-1 loss to Chelsea, manager Vítor Pereira criticized his team’s lack of effort, saying, “I don’t like this body language. I want someone, as a captain, trying to help the team – running, suffering, and fighting all together.”
Valued at €50 million (£42 million) by Transfermarkt, Cunha is under contract until June 2027. Both Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly interested in the Brazilian forward, setting the stage for a potential bidding war if Manchester United decides to make a move.
