The future of Mohamed Salah at Liverpool remains uncertain. The Egyptian winger is currently in the final year of his contract, and although reports suggest the club intends to start negotiations soon, there has been no official confirmation that Salah will stay at Anfield beyond this season. As a result, with Salah still being linked to a potential move to the Saudi Pro League, Liverpool have begun exploring possible replacements.

One name that has emerged as a potential successor to Salah is Real Madrid’s Rodrygo. While Liverpool would prefer to extend the contract of their prolific 32-year-old winger, they are understandably preparing for the future. According to a report from *Fichajes*, Arne Slot, who has been linked to a managerial role at Liverpool, is interested in signing Rodrygo as a possible replacement for Salah. The report suggests that if Liverpool are serious about securing the services of the 23-year-old Brazilian forward, they will need to make a significant financial investment.

Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Pérez, might be open to considering substantial offers for Rodrygo, and it is believed that a starting price of €100 million (£84 million) could be enough to initiate negotiations.

Salah is currently Liverpool’s highest-paid player, earning £350,000 per week, which amounts to nearly £20 million per year, according to *Spotrac*. If the club fails to extend his contract, Salah would leave Anfield on a free transfer at the end of the season. However, this would free up a considerable amount of money in wages, which Liverpool could use to entice Rodrygo to make the move from Madrid to Merseyside.

Rodrygo, who has just under four years remaining on his contract with Real Madrid, has been a key player for the Spanish giants. Since joining the club five years ago, the Brazilian forward has scored 57 goals and provided 43 assists in 225 appearances across all competitions.
