BREAKING: WELCOME TO ANFIELD 🏟 | LIVERPOOL EYE RECORD-BREAKING MOVE FOR ALEXANDER ISAK.

Liverpool are ready to smash their club transfer record in a sensational bid to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak this summer, sources close to the club have confirmed.

The Reds have identified the 24-year-old Swedish international as their top target to lead the line under new head coach Arne Slot, and are willing to go all out to secure his signature. With 21 Premier League goals last season and a reputation as one of Europe’s most dynamic forwards, Isak fits the profile of a long-term number nine to spearhead Liverpool’s new era.

But with Newcastle reportedly demanding in excess of £100 million to even consider a sale, Liverpool are prepared to get creative. In an attempt to bring the price down, Anfield chiefs are exploring a high-profile swap deal that could include Joe Gomez, Jarell Quansah, Harvey Elliott, or Ben Doak being offered as part of the package.

Each of the four players is highly rated within Liverpool’s ranks, but the club is understood to be open to including one or more of them if it helps to clinch the deal. Newcastle, facing concerns over Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules, may find such a deal tempting as it provides immediate squad reinforcements without heavy spending.

Talks between the two clubs are at a delicate stage, but momentum is building. Personal terms with Isak are not expected to be a major hurdle, with the striker reportedly open to the move and keen on Champions League football.

This deal could eclipse Liverpool’s current record signing of Darwin Núñez, who cost around £85 million in 2022. If successful, it would be a major statement of intent from the new-look Reds as they aim to bounce back into title contention.
