Manchester United’s rising star, Alejandro Garnacho, has disclosed that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez personally traveled from Spain to England to persuade him to join Los Blancos. The 20-year-old winger, often compared to Cristiano Ronaldo, revealed that Madrid sees him as a potential successor to the Portuguese legend.

“They wanted me to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid because of my potential,” Garnacho shared. “I can’t believe that Madrid’s president traveled all the way from Spain to England just to persuade me.”

Despite the flattering offer, Garnacho responded with a clear five-word message to Pérez: “I love this football club.” This statement, posted on his Instagram, reaffirms his commitment to Manchester United.

Garnacho’s admiration for Ronaldo is well-known. Born in Madrid, he joined Manchester United’s youth system from Atlético Madrid in 2020 and has since become a key player for the Red Devils. His performances have caught the attention of top clubs, including Real Madrid, who view him as a long-term investment.

However, Garnacho remains focused on his current club. He has expressed his desire to emulate Ronaldo’s success at Manchester United before considering any moves abroad.

With a contract running until 2028, Garnacho’s immediate future lies at Old Trafford. His recent performances, including a standout display in the FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool, have solidified his status as one of United’s most promising talents.

While Real Madrid’s interest is a testament to Garnacho’s rising profile, his commitment to Manchester United suggests that any potential move to the Spanish capital is not imminent.
